INVITATION ADDRESS FROM THE CHAIRPERSON
On behalf of the Organising and Scientific Committees, I am very pleased to announce
that the Tenth International Congress on Drug Therapy in HIV Infection
will take place in Glasgow, UK, from 7-11 November 2010.
The meeting aims to provide a relevant and topical Scientific Programme reflecting recent progress in therapeutic strategies and research affecting the management of HIV infection. Although progress is continually being made in HIV drug treatment, significant challenges still remain, and, as at previous meetings, issues such as paediatric infection, mother-to-child transmission and treatment in resource-poor settings will be highlighted.
To encourage whole audience participation, the core plenary session format has been maintained. This will be supplemented by integrated keynote lectures, free papers and symposia. The scientific poster sessions have also become an important element of the programme and we will build on the poster discussion sessions initiated in 2008. More than 300 posters were displayed at the Ninth Congress.
The Congress appreciates its research networking function and will again assist governmental
and non-governmental organisations to capitalise on the coming together of healthcare professionals from around the world.
Many of you will have taken part in previous Congresses and we look forward to welcoming you once again to Glasgow in November 2010, together with many new delegates. With your continuing support, we very much hope that the Congress will continue to reflect the progress that is being made in the treatment of HIV infection.
